About The Artist
Tabitha Jones's art is a mixture of different styles, techniques, and mixed mediums. Whether its a textured piece, post-impressionism piece, or a surrealism piece, she is drawn to each unique piece as its own individual creation, with its own story to tell. With her textured pieces, she draws from nature, whether its the trees swaying in the breeze, the ocean waves rolling in, or a leaf floating in the river, as if to trying to catch up to the branch it fell from. She is always learning something new, from the colors she uses, to the textures creating a story all on their own.
With her surrealism, and post-impressionism pieces, she is drawn to the history and symbolic meanings in different cultures-( families crests, Coat of Arms, to the symbolic meanings of the Adinkra Symbols). With each piece she researches the meaning and the history, what story it tells, and incorporates the story into her painting.
